What a phenomenal experience! So glad our friend told us about this place because we will be back! Amazing service, and delicious food! Central style Viet food with such unique dishes but also familiar dishes too! //CONTEXT// I came here around 9:30 am on a Saturday and honestly it started getting packed by the time we left! I think that shows how popular this place is! Came as a party of two //ENVIRONMENT// Big space for large or small parties. Very clean inside and clean restrooms! //FOOD// * Banh beo: so good and one of our favorite banh béos! The fish sauce was so good! Shrimp was flavorful * Banh It Ram: this yummy rice cake with fried rice cake like mochi texture is amazing! Perfectly fried and crisp. * Banh Cảnh Tom Của: another great thick soup with real crab and shrimp balls! So flavorful //SERVICE// Amazing service and everyone was really kind! We also chatted with the owners and they are so welcoming Overall I'd bring friends and family here!
It's great. Been going there for something like 30 years and always traveling from the 626. I remember when they just had a few tables. Always gotta get the chicken and rice, banh beo or you know what? Just about anything from there tastes great.
This place was packed with Vietnamese speaking diners so I think it must be pretty authentic. The menu is in Vietnamese & English, and I did my homework beforehand, and let me tell you research pays off! Every single dish I ordered was fantastic. 2⃣ Bún Riêu – $13.5 Vermicelli noodle soup with tomato, ground crab, pork blood, and tofu (+$2 for added snails) This crab noodle soup was a pleasant surprise. The broth wasn’t as heavy as I expected but still packed with flavor. It came with thin vermicelli noodles, crab paste, tomatoes, pork blood, tofu, and eggs. I also opted to add snails for an extra $2—totally worth it! 1⃣7⃣ Bánh Bèo Chến Vỹ Dạ – $13.5 Vy Da’s Steamed Rice Cakes with Ground Shrimp This dish came with 12 small plates, each holding a soft, chewy rice cake topped with crispy fried garlic and dried shrimp. The magic happens when you drizzle their house-made fish sauce over it—absolutely delicious! (And no funky fish sauce smell, just pure umami goodness!) Plus, it came with a side of crispy fried pork skin. 2⃣0⃣ Bánh Ít Ram – $13.5 Fried & Steamed Dumplings with Shrimp & Pork This one was mind-blowing! It’s a two-layered delight—the top is a chewy glutinous rice dumpling, while the bottom is a crispy fried base filled with crunchy shrimp and pork. Once you drizzle it with their sauce, it becomes the perfect combo of crispy, chewy, and savory. A must-order! Thai Tea – $4 Surprisingly, this was the best Thai tea I’ve had at any Thai or Vietnamese restaurants in the area! Perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Bonus: Free Herb & Lettuce Platter They serve a complimentary plate of fresh greens with the meal—love the authentic touch! There are still so many dishes I want to try here, but I was way too full this time. One thing’s for sure is that Vietnamese food is so much more than just pho! Can’t wait to come back for round two. Love this place! The Bun Bo Hue is rich, flavorful and extremely fresh. I also really like how its not spicy to start and you can spice it up to the level you want it to be with their in house chili sauce. Don't miss out on the specialty dishes too. I always get the combo if I'm not sure what to get but my favorites are the Beo and It Ram. Also, if you want more of a seafood based soups, you have to try the Banh Canh Tom Cua and Bun Rieu. I personally like the BCTC more but the Chu's and Co's always fight over which is better.
Your local mom and pop shop! Great atmosphere with a koi pond in the back and food is good AND fairly priced! Definitely get their ban uot tam chay. Ban beo is also a must get. Bun thit nuong is also delicious!
I have been dying to eat here since I would go to unu Cafe next door. The food is excellent. Everything here is so tasty. And the service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and nice..the resturant is very clean..they have so many food to choose from and their food is great. If your in tbe area and are wondering if you should here you should.
A traditional Vietnamese place. The star is Bún Bò Huế, the salty rich broth go together with pork feet, tender and beef is unresistable. But in my opinion the pork blood cube is not good, too dry The place is clean, have all the necessary spice to eat. The lotus seed che is ok, the lotus seed is a bit hard, a little bit too sweet
